Save the Children is a leading international organization helping children in need around the world. Today, twenty-eight national Save the Children organizations participate in the International Save the Children Alliance - a global network of non-profit organizations working in over 120 countries around the world. In addition to promoting greater public awareness of the needs and rights of children worldwide, Alliance members coordinate emergency relief efforts, helping to protect children from the effects of disasters, both natural and manmade. We also work with the existing Food and Nutrition Partnership Forum to influence government and donors to bring the issue of malnutrition and poverty into the national agenda.
NEWBORN HEALTH PROGRAM ADVISOR - Abuja (N5, 000,000 gross).
The Program advisor will work with Senior. Newborn and Child Survival Adviser to raise awareness on newborn health issues and provide technical assistance to stakeholders at National and State levels for scale up of newborn health programmes. He / She will provide technical leadership in the area of newborn health while, coordinating with other partners involved in newborn health activities such as PRRINN-MNCH and Jhpiego.
QUALIFICATION:
Minimum of a Bachelors degree in health with 7 years experience in related field or a Postgraduate qualification in Public Health with a minimum of 4 years experience in related filed is essential. Additionally, the ideal candidate must have work experience in health/public health and or in a health/public health organisation, including as a state level trainer/technical assistance provider in the area of RH/MCH with government of Nigeria or an International NGO.
GRANTS COORDINATOR – Abuja (N3, 600,000 gross)
The grants coordinator will ensure the maintenance and administration of the Bill and Melinda Gates Funded Grants (Saving Newborn Lives & Advocacy Project) are robust, effective and compliant with SC grants systems and guidelines and meets the Donor requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum of a Bachelors in Accounting (or equivalent certification). He/she must have at least 3-4 years similar work experience within NGOs/NGOs managing grants. The ideal candidate should have an in-depth understanding of donor rules.
GRANTS OFFICERS X2 – Kano (N2,080, 000 gross)
The grants officer will ensure the maintenance and administration of the DFID/PRINN funded grants are robust, effective and compliant with SC grants systems and guidelines and meet donor requirements. The ideal candidate should have an in-depth understanding of donor rules.
QUALIFICATION:
Bachelors degree in Accounting (or equivalent certification) with a minimum of 2 years similar work experience within a busy working environment such as INGOs.
INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY ASSISTANT – Kano (N,851,605 gross)
The IT Assistant will provide IT technical support services to the to all field bases by providing computer training to users; trouble shooting, ensuring timely maintenance of all communication and IT equipment and provide IT based back up support.
QUALIFICATION:
The ideal candidate will have Industrial working experience in a similar position; Proven knowledge of hardware maintenance and ability to solve simple hardware problems; and solid experience in maintaining, trouble-shooting and administering a Microsoft Windows-based (local area) network. Knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems, including XP, Windows 2003, and Window 7, and 'Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and must have a degree in related fields.

A media company in Lagos is looking for qualified candidates to fill the various roles below:


Creative Writers

Ref: CRW-2011

Requirement: Candidate must either possess a degree in Arts or Mass Communications or relevant field. He/she must have strong grammar and creative skills. Minimum of 1 year working experience as freelance writer and must not be more than 30 years of age

Client Service

Ref: CLS-2011

Requirement: Candidate must possess a first degree in Social Sciences/Arts or related field. He/she must also have strong judgment and decision-making skills. Must have solid verbal and written communication skills. Sales or customer service experience will be an advantage. Candidate must not be more than 30 years of age

Media Executive

Ref: MEDO-2011

Requirement: Must have a first degree preferably in journalism/mass communication/public relations. Candidates must have good negotiation skill and must be very comfortable with figures. Candidates should be able to develop good networking skills, an overall personality and must possess good communication skills. Candidates must have one (1) year working experience.

Candidate must not be more than 32 years of age.

Accountant

Ref: ACCT-2011

Requirement: BSc Accounting with minimum of 2 years accounting experience plus proficiency in the use of QuickBooks Accounting Software/Peachtree (compulsory) or HND with 4 years Accounting experience. ICAN/ACCA certification/post graduate degree shall be considered as added advantage for selection. Candidate must not be more than 35 years of age


Accounts Clerk

Requirement: OND/Relevant Technical Certificate required. Candidates must possess minimum of upper credit and must not be more than 31 years of age as at when applying for this position. Relevant working experience shall be an advantage for selection

Audio Engineer

Requirement: Candidate must either possess an OND/HND Certificate. Minimum of 1 year experience in working with audio equipments and audio editing software and must not be more than 32 years of age

Camera man

Requirement: Candidate must possess a degree/ relevant certificates. Candidate must be a highly technical and creative individual who enjoys working with large groups of people. He/she must possess good verbal communication skill. The candidate must have the ability to pay attention to details and possess knowledge in video camera equipment operation. Candidates must have two (2) years relevant working experience. Candidate must not be more than 32 years of age.

Drivers

Ref: DRV-2011

Candidate must have a minimum of SSCE/OND or equivalent and should be able to communicate in English. Must have a minimum of 3-5 years driving experience. Experience in truck driving will be considered as an added advantage.
